Curent Setup

gaming-maching

I started playing on Playstation years ago. As I got more competitive, I increased from the PS4 to the PS4 Pro and swapped out the standard controller for a customizable Scuff Controller.

However, even by moving to the next generation consoles, in order to be truly competitive, I needed to make the jump to PC Gaming.

Check out my current gaming system described below!

Streaming Software: Streamlabs OBS
Controller: XBOX Elite 2
Monitor: MSIOptix G27C5 (Costco)
Microphone: IKEDON 192KHZ/24Bit USB condenser microphone (Amazon)
Soundboard: GoXLR
Webcam: Logitech C922x Pro (Amazon)
Headset: HyperX Cloud II

ryzen

Processsor:

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12-Core) 4.8 GHz Turbo

There is no doubt that AMD has made massive improvements over the years and this Ryzen 9 processor is a beast. With all 12 cores cranking, nothing I can throw at this machine will ever slow it down.

motherboard

Motherboard:

ASUS PRIME X570-P / MSI X570-A Pro

The ASUS Prime gives me all the things I need without breaking the bank. Slotted for the Ryzen with plenty of room for growth.

Cooling

Cooling:

H20: Stage 2: Digital Storm Vortex Liquid CPU Cooler (Dual Fan)

To keep the 12 cores cool, i made the jump to my first liquid cooled machine. The closed loop system keeps everything nice and cool during the most trying of gaming sessions.

memory

Memory:

32GB DDR4 3200MHz Digital Storm Performance Series

The amount of RAM available is only half the story; running at 3200MHz (which is all the Ryzen supports for better speed management) allows data to be moved in and out of RAM at the speeds the processor needs to keep up.

Graphics

Graphics Card:

GeForce RTX 3070 8GB (Performance Edition)

While there are faster and more memory Graphics Cards available, the 3070 packs some good punch and met my performance and budget.

SSD

SSD:

SSD M.2 (500GB Digital Storm M.2 Performance Series)

The boot drive of the PC doesnt need to be large, it just needs to be fast. 500GB is plenty for storing the games and for reading info very quickly.

HDD

HDD:

1x  2TB Seagate Drive

power supply

Power Supply:

850W Digital Storm Performance Series (Modular) (80 Plus Gold)
